I adore multiple POV novels and Pool does it so well not only by balancing the perspectives, but making sure that they interweave in fabulous and complex ways.

Even the characters are just sort of introduced.The Last Prophet would either be the key to stopping the Age of Darkness or would be the cat "There was nothing to be frightened of when you were the most dangerous thing that stalked the streets" This is the book where the world and the characters are set up but where nothing much happens. Or will you be checking it out?The character issue became less of a problem as I became acquainted with each of the characters and their roles in the story. Heart Change Jude and Anton have been taken prisoner and are off to be delivered to the Heirophant. French For Dummies I guess being kidnapped and moving steadily away from his responsibility would constitute as at least a mini failure, if you wanted to call it that.
