OPTVs are also serious babysitting perkage, and Sharon had every channel and subscription imaginable.Baby Satan had a million stuffed animals, and my eyes settled on a floppy dog that was nearly life-sized.

We believe in the power of books and are excited to provide those resources.THE BABYSITTERS COVEN was one of my biggest anticipated reads and ended up becoming one of my biggest disappointments. Artemis Fowl: Books 5-8 The Babysitters Coven by Kate Williams follows seventeen-year-old Esme Pearl as she navigates her way though high-school, babysitting, new friendships, and the discovery that being a babysitter (or Sitter) means a lot more than changing dirty diapers.Janis is wary of the new girl, but Cassandra welcomes her and finds they might have more in common than meets the eye. She and her best friend Janis have a babysitters club together, which basically amounts to a shared cell phone and a list of regular clients.

Review: The Babysitters Coven by Kate Williams | The Nerd

It was such a fun read, and I was really entertained while reading. I had no idea what to expect when starting this book, but strangely enough this mix actually worked! Not much happened for so much of the book that I contemplated DNFing several times.I wanted to keep it for this end of October because it was giving me all the Halloween vibes, and it delivered.

But thanks to this delightful, witchy read, hope has been renewed. Strange things begin happening to Esme at school, things she cannot explain. I highly recommend picking this one up if you need a fun novel with horror tones that is a little on the lighter side (this was definitely what I needed right now). But that could be one of the Sitters casting a spell.

Cassandra and Dion move into town when they discover their (presumed dead, RIP) parents deeded them a house.I liked the characters and thought that the humor in the story was very well done. Kaitlyn was still wide-awake. Trauma and Romance in Contemporary British Literature Janis was a pretty amazing best friend as well.Vampires were not part of this story, but the similarity with Buffy is undeniable, and if you decide to give it a try, you will know exactly why. Stadt der Intrigen Adventures in Babysitting meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer in this funny, action-packed novel about a coven of witchy babysitters who realize their calling to protect the innocent and save the world from an onslaught of evil.I love the snark and the many cultural references made.
