The neighborhood kids found the twist before it was coming, too because I read aloud this book in front of their houses to punish them!!!But when your whole existence is a lie, how can you trust even yourself? You definitely do not have to be familiar with the surrounding mythology to enjoy this. I loved the scenes between them because you could feel the push-and-pull between their agreement-based professionalism and their longing.
